This is why I love Ga’ran as a final prosecutor for Spirit of Justice, she is irredeemable and ruthless to everyone. Always trying to trap you with the immense power she holds not just in the courtroom but in the entire country as its Queen. Taking her on and fighting against all odds is one of my favourite moments in Ace Attorney! I hope the fires and smoke clear up soon so you, Jon, and Bagel can recover swiftly!

I LOVE Rayfa so much, she’s so brave even in the face of her shitty mother. Phoenix and now Apollo gave her hope and now she sees that she is needed and matters in the world. ❤️‍🔥

17:49 Yeah, it’s like you said, she went from pushing Rayfa to do the Seance earlier, to telling her now that she shouldn’t do it. You may be right in assuming she’s hiding something which is why she changed her tune like that, but it also may be because she wanted to see Rayfa fail. She knew Rayfa would become overwhelmed and do something to embarrass herself while trying to face her father’s death and wanted it to happen. And now that it HAS happened, she’s using the opportunity to cut Rayfa down with her words. Mother of the year, everyone. Mother of the year.

Villains in Ace Attorney are always escalating, we started with an invincible prosecutor, went through the chief of police and now we have come to a queen rewriting law itself trying to execute everyone

7:00 I really don’t know why we have to keep flashing back to this every five minutes.

Rayfa might be my favourite MC character that’s exclusive to this game. Her development rivals that of Franziska seeing the mother and father she once revered were not who they seemed, but also the fact she’s an ice princess when you first meet her, who melts into a genuine good royal when everything she believed in is questioned by “Barbed Head”. It takes Ga’ran outright belittling both her and her chest size, something most teenage girls are conscious of for her to finally stand up to Seymour and do the Divination Seance even if facing her father’s death is terrifying. Also given there’s a fire in my area too, I’ve been staying inside hoping it’ll go away too. Stay safe Lucah. Hope you and Jon and Bagel are doing better.

It also doesn’t help that yes, Ga’ran’s Such Insolence objection can also be translated to “Bow down” which is meaningful given she’s essentially a dictator.

We may not know much about how Igna actually was as a parent, but next to Ga'ran, he looks like a shoo-in for Father of the Decade. It's no wonder Rayfa's such a daddy's girl. Without him and Nayna around, she has no pillars left. Rayfa learning how to draw strength from a belief in *herself* and what she's capable of without needing to rely on anyone else is easily one of the most powerful, most stand-out moments of character development and emotional depth in a game that's full of them.

Can we just take a moment and appreciate Rayfa in this episode? Look how far this girl has come since we first met her. She was taught that her insights were completely infallible and looked upon all the Defendants of the court with incredible scorn. And now she's standing up to her own mother and Queen, fighting for what she herself believes in. Words just don't express how proud of this girl we are!

I think the faceless thing was explained WAY back near the beginning of the game, but since it's so far back it's hard to remember

I think Inga just has face blindness. I had that feeling since we saw the notes in his study that determined certain characters' descriptions. Didn't think they'd use that information like this though.

That sprite of Rayfa clutching her hands is my favorite in the whole game. It expresses intense sadness, as well as her resolve to stand up against her mother and is really damn cute to boot.

I think the facelessness was already hinted at via Inga's notes and what connection/theory Lucah had upon reading them.

Yeah, Rayfa REALLY starts to shape up wonderfully in this episode. Feels like she really is coming into her own as a leader rather than just a utility like she is treated for most of the game. I especially like how Minister Inga's whole motivation starts to unfold with this. Like, he wasn't really a great person, but his safe having Rayfa's birthday as a pasword, holding a birthday poem from her. Yeah, it's kinda crazy to keep that with his plans to assassinate Ga'ran, but this really starts to show just why Rayfa seems so much more attached to Inga. That being for as wrong and cruel as Inga could be, Ga'ran is not only worse as a leader, but even as a parent. This case is STILL wildin' though.

(Spoilers) one of two things happens. It's either Phoenix talks you out of it and you go with the second option. Or you can argue with Phoenix to take the first option and The defendant dies and you escape pretty much

Phoenix and Apollo got each other's back like brothers even though they're workmates Phoenix straight up said I will die with you😢

Rewriting laws mid-trial has got to be the biggest flex of power in Ace Attorney. Really sells the precarious situation you're in here. Manfred and Simon might've been able to "command the courtroom," but here, your defeat is completely at her whim. In the event Ace Attorney 7 ever happens, I really don't think Capcom could make the deck feel any more stacked against you.

I swear if this is another instance of somebody wearing a costume and we just assume who it is. Granted this would be a far more clever use of that cliche I still will be a tad disappointed I think.

To be honest, ga'ran is so comically evil that it takes away almost all of the emotional weight of the situation for me

I just wish I could give Rayfa a big hug.

19:46 I wish Phoenix were more in the driver’s seat for this stretch. I get that this case as a whole has far more significance for Apollo, but Phoenix is the one who’s spent the entire game up to now fighting this corrupt legal system on the front lines, and more pointedly building a rapport with Rayfa. For him to just sit there silently while her mother verbally abuses her in open court really does not sit well. Apollo already has his share of important people in this case, and while I’m genuinely happy for him to take the reigns for the finale, he seems to have siphoned all of Phoenix’s narrative momentum, including the dynamic with Rayfa, and that’s disappointing.

Just a fair warning Lucah (this is a tip for the next part), this Divination Séance screwed me up because one part requires looking back at this one piece of evidence. I won't say where and what exactly, but if you get stuck, check the Court Record and compare it to the Séance. It'll save you some headaches.

Damn, Rayfa’s character arc moment is better than I remember. Where the hell is Nayuta? 😂

Of all the villains in this series, a person who can literally rewrite the law at will is probably the biggest and craziest I can see it ever getting.

Rayfa is now in that rebelious phase but for revealing the truth. You go girl! And stay safe up there y'all!
